Essential oils are part of my daily life!  I love sharing their many different uses.

I started making my own facial products for two main reasons.  One, I hated the idea of having to throw away and then repurchase perfectly good bottles each time I ran out of a product (note: there are some great sustainable companies that will take back your bottles – if you live in Australia SkinMade is one such company).  Two, skin care products are expensive!!! I found it much more cost efficient to make my own.  Some of the ingredients are a bit expensive to start, but since you get multiple batches out of each base ingredient, and base ingredients can work for multiple products, it’s much less expensive long term.

 As with most things in life, the quality of the product depends on the quality of the ingredients.  Pure single ingredients are best – if it doesn’t list the ingredients on the bottle it’s probably got stuff in it you don’t want!!!  I particularly don’t go cheap on my essential oils.  I am a DoTerra Wellness Advocate so I always use DoTerra essential oils.  There are a few other oils on the market that are comparable, but beware of imitations – if it seems cheap it probably is!
